WORD AND MUSIC SERVICE AT CHURCH NEUMÜNSTER

"It takes courage to live," writes Kurt Meier in one of his poems. On the evening before Ascension Day, words and music tell of the hope, courage and future needed to live and live together. Kurt Meier will read a selection of his deft poems, while Minister Stefanie Porš will juxtapose them with the Ascension story. 

Although our music sounds accessible and festive, it's neither superficial nor easy to perform. The melodies, harmonies and rhythms are pretty complex, but most of all, the lyrics – here from Newton Mendonça and Alan & Marilyn Bergman – are very profound. This deeper meaning will add an extra dimension to the meditative texts.

The Blue Crew will perform with our double bass player Felix Kübler and Steve Zwygart replacing Capitão Johannes on the piano. Come many and share with us this beautiful moment!
